He is a long established, fully qualified surveyor and author of technical books and articles, published worldwide, including “Osmosis and Glassfibre Yacht Construction”, printed in three languages.
He is recognized as an authority on glassfibre construction, osmosis and other types of blistering in glassfibre craft.
He was afloat in his first boat at the age of 10 and progressed to an apprenticeship in yacht and boat building, studying yacht construction and naval architecture at college. After a further nine years in the yachting industry, in 1978 he formed Abbey Yachts, specializing in the survey of glass reinforced plastic (GRP) and other forms of fibre reinforced plastic.
He was also at school with our founder!
